What to Expect — The Process

Consultation

Dr. Kirsch cares about his patients and their overall health. When you come in for an evaluation, he schedules ample time to get to know you and your goals for your teeth. If you decide Invisalign is right for you, he customizes a treatment plan that will improve your smile according to your hopes and dreams.

Treatment Plan

Dr. Kirsch uses impressions of your teeth to form a precise and customized plan that establishes the movements of your teeth, the length of your treatment, and even a preview shot of what your teeth will look like upon completion.

The Results

The transformation may seem slow, but in only a matter of months, your smile will evolve through a sequence of expertly designed shifts.

Cleaning and Care of Aligners

After making sure to wear your aligners all day every day, cleaning them is the most important part of having Invisalign®. We recommend the following process for cleaning, not just rinsing, your aligners each night.

  1. Rinse with water.
  2. Brush with a soft-bristled toothbrush and gentle, clear liquid soap.
  3. Rinse thoroughly again.

This cleaning process should be done nightly, but it’s important that you rinse your aligners every time you take them out. Remember to store your aligners in a case when they are not in your mouth. Even though you replace your aligners with new ones every couple weeks, it’s important to clean them. This will keep them from turning yellow, reduce the risk of exposing your teeth to bacteria, and help prevent bad breath.
